Friends of the Global Fund Europe is looking for an Advocacy Officer for Italy

Part-time consultant contract

 

Friends of the Global Fund Europe has been engaged for more than fifteen years in mobilizing European policy makers in the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.

Independent of the Global Fund, we share its values of shared governance, inclusion, transparency, equal human rights and gender.

We work directly in 6 European countries and the institutions of the European Union.

We are looking for our new Advocacy Officer for Italy, based in Rome, or with a regular and frequent presence in Rome, on a part-time consultant contract.

Under the shared supervision of Stefano Vella, our Vice-Chair for Italy, and our Executive director based in Paris, the role consists in the development of our advocacy strategy for Italy and its implementation, through a relevant combination of briefing notes, meetings, events and media relations. The mission also encompasses a Pan-European dimension through joint activities carried out with the organization’s other advocacy country leads and its Secretariat.

To fulfill this role, we are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in steering and developing public policies, advocacy, management of development projects or communication in the fields of health, international affairs, human rights, or development. A good knowledge of the Italian political context and of the Italian international cooperation policies, as well as an excellent proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken, are required.
